On a Personal Note...
I've lived in the trenches of hospice — competing, building, losing referrals to bad actors, and still choosing to lead with integrity every time. I've trained hundreds of sales professionals. I've sat in thousands of family meetings. And I've been on the other side of this as a caregiver myself.

Right now, hospice is in a defining moment. The scrutiny is real. The reputational damage is real. But the work of organizations that want to continue to lead with integrity and do this right — to grow, to lead, to be trusted — is also very real.

That's why this work matters right now, as much as it ever has.

Technology and AI can support better systems, better communication, and better decisions. They can help leaders create consistency and reduce unnecessary friction. But they will never replace bedside care, physical presence with grieving families, or human empathy. They will never replace the judgment, discernment, and compassion required in this work.

Leaders need clarity. Teams need systems that work. Families need people who will show up steady when the days are long and the work is hard. That is the kind of work I am committed to doing, and the kind of leader I strive to be.
